Magnets on the string nocks hum and a slender curve of metal hums back. The air crackles as fingers approach the arrow rest.
Weapon Class: Bows & Rifles
Accuracy: Very High
The electrobow is a ranged weapon with the highest possible accuracy for a missile weapon. It can often be found in the early- to mid- game and has quite high penetration for its relatively low tier.
Though it may resemble one, the electrobow is not a laser based weapon and does not inflict light based damage. This means that it does not reduce targets to ashes and its energy bolt projectiles cannot be refracted.
Obtaining
The electrobow can be:
- Found as random loot in mid-tier zones or occasionally equipped by random creatures. Notably, trash monks always have a 10% chance to be carrying an electrobow.[1]
- Crafted with the Tinker II skill, after obtaining the required schematic.
- Disarmed from electrobow turrets, though this type of turret is somewhat rare.
Light Source
The electrobow also acts as an excellent light source with a very large radius, equivalent to a glowsphere or floating glowsphere. It will provide this light while equipped in the missile weapon slot with any non-empty energy cell in it. It does not actually consume energy from the energy cell to sustain the light.
Tips
- The electrobow makes an excellent ranged weapon for a character who is not otherwise focused on ranged weaponry; it consumes very little power per shot, is accurate and reasonably damaging even with low stats due to its decent penetration, and passively provides light, so even if it's rarely fired it can free up the player's other slots for more useful equipment.
