Honey is a liquid. Cooking with it adds simple medicinal based effects to cooked meals. It weighs 0.5 lbs per dram.
Upon stepping into a puddle of honey, if the creature is in the same phase and is not able to walk on slime, the creature will make a Strength and Agility save of difficulty 10+(drams of honey in liquid)*5. If they fail this check, they will become stuck with a duration of 12 and a strength save target of drams.
Sources of Honey
- portable beehives generate honey once every 2000 turns.
- honey weeps or giant honey weeps.
- Can be found on the ground near Legendary Bear encounters.
- Found inside yellow clay pitchers in ruins and settlements.
- Sold by beekeepers and found inside the glass bottles they own.
- The alchemist is guaranteed to have one dram of honey for sale.
Uses for Honey
- Drinking honey counts for the satiation level of a snack.
- Drinking one dram a day will add a +2 save to diseases like Ironshank and Glotrot. This effect does not stack with yuckwheat stems, but will stack with disease resists from cooking. It does not affect fungal infections unless it is required for the fungal cure.
- It is twice as valuable as fresh water, but also twice as heavy.
- Using honey as an ingredient in cooking will grant simple disease prevention and illness-shortening effects.
