Putrescence is a liquid that is created from vomiting. Vomiting causes the creature to lose 20,000-30,000 units of water, which is equivalent to two to three drams.
Sources of Putrescence
- A creature drinking too much water (forced or not) will vomit putrescence once they surpass the max 50,000 units. Amphibious (D) creatures are unable to vomit due to consuming water through their skin.
- Can be found in random puddles in lairs.
- A player character with glotrot drinking from anything has a 25% chance of contaminating the liquid with 4 drams of putrescence. The player character will also vomit, spawning 1 dram of it on the ground.[1]
- The alchemist is guaranteed to have one dram of putrescence available for purchase.
Uses of Putrescence
- One dram of putrescence or blood is required to desecrate a statue.
- Can be a possible liquid for a cure specified in the Corpus Choliys.
