Humors are the eroded bits of the earth: dust flaked off a million-year-old wall of shale, runoff brine dripped through a hairline crack of chrome, dew clung to the lips of a pipe after it's belched its septic vapor. Under the right conditions, at time scales inscrutable to kith and kin, the bits are heaped together by the geometry of entropy and remorphed into the prime material anew.

Perfect

A gyrohumor is a creature belonging to the oozes faction. It is a tier 5[1] creature and can be found underground, as well as in ruins and Bethesda Susa.[2]

Gyrohumors, like humors, can take one of 4 "forms", with each form granting it various traits and abilities. However, whereas humors assume a single form permanently, gyrohumors are able to randomly switch between forms, and have a 25% chance of doing so every round.[3]

Gyrohumors attack in melee with their giant pseudopods, of which they possess 4. Each pseudopod is a cudgel weapon with a to-hit bonus of +6 and a penetration value of 9. Each pseudopod has a base damage value of ♥0, but will deal ♥1d8+2021-28 (Avg: 24.5) elemental damage, the type of which is determined by its form.[4]

Being oozes, gyrohumors lack a mind and thus are immune to abilities and effects that target the mind of a creature, such as Sunder Mind.[5] Additionally, gyrohumors cannot slip on slippery liquids such as slime, or become stuck in sticky liquids such as asphalt. Finally, gyrohumors bleed slime instead of blood, and cannot be knocked prone.[6]

Forms

There are 4 forms gyrohumors can take: "fire", "ice", "acid", and "shocking".

Fire

When in fire form, a gyrohumor's colors will alternate between red, bright red, and yellow.[7] Its heat resistance will be set to 100,[8] making it immune to heat damage, and its pseudopods will become flaming pseudopods, dealing heat damage. Additionally, creatures hit by a flaming pseudopod will undergo a forced temperature change of 2d20+100102-140 (Avg: 121)° T, up to a maximum of 400° T.[9][10]

When a gyrohumor in fire form dies, it will explode, forcibly heating any objects in adjacent tiles by 2000° T.[3]

Ice

When in ice form, a gyrohumor's colors will alternate between cyan, bright cyan, and white.[7] Its cold resistance will be set to 100,[8] making it immune to cold damage, and its pseudopods will become hoary pseudopods, dealing cold damage. Additionally, creatures hit by a hoary pseudopod will undergo a forced temperature change of -2d20-40Lua error: Module:Dice:349: I couldn't understand this as part of an expression: -2d20-40.° T.[9][10]

When a gyrohumor in ice form dies, it will explode, forcibly cooling any objects in adjacent tiles by -2000° T.[3]

Acid

When in acid form, a gyrohumor's colors will alternate between green, bright green, and black.[7] Its acid resistance will be set to 100,[8] making it immune to acid damage, and its pseudopods will become acidic pseudopods, dealing acid damage.[9]

Whenever a gyrohumor in acid form enters a tile, it will create a pool of acid in the tile with a volume of 10d1010-100 (Avg: 55) drams.[4] This will occur even in tiles that already contain acid or another liquid, adding the volume of acid to the volume of the liquid already present.[3]

When a gyrohumor in acid form dies, it will explode into several pools of acid. Each adjacent tile to the gyrohumor, including the one it occupied, will have a 75% chance of being filled with a pool, with each pool having a volume of 10d1010-100 (Avg: 55) drams.[3]

Shocking

When in shocking form, a gyrohumor's colors will alternate between yellow and white.[7] Its electric resistance will be set to 100, making it immune to electric damage, and its movement speed will be increased by 10.[8] Its pseudopods will become sparking pseudopods, dealing electric damage. Additionally, creatures hit by a sparking pseudopod will be struck by an electric discharge, an attack that deals ♥1d61-6 (Avg: 3.5) and has the ability to arc to creatures adjacent to the target.[9][11]

When a gyrohumor in shocking form dies, it will explode, releasing electric discharges into random adjacent tiles. These electric discharges will deal ♥2d202-40 (Avg: 21) electric damage each and, if they strike a creature, can arc to other adjacent creatures.[3]
