White lips hang from their hooded and overly jawed face in the asymmetry of disappointment. Their brow crunches the softness out of their color-sucked eyes. They looks at their newchildren with a mixture of sharp fondness and disgust. To them, they are small puppets; their limbs must be curled around their joints with loving precision, or they are splayed open by their own wills, useless and broken.

The newfather is a member of the Putus Templar and can spawn anywhere Putus Templar can.

A newfather will always spawn with 2-4 'enslaved' creatures in their party.[1][2] These creatures can spawn as any tier 4 or 5 creature, but must have an unoccupied face or head equipment slot.[2][3] If their face equipment slot is unoccupied they will wear a gentling mask, otherwise they will wear a gentling cone.[4]

It is intended that if the newfather these creatures are attached to is killed, the creatures will return to their parent factions, but due to a bug this behaviour is not currently observed.[5]
