Extra Info:
Templar phylactery

An wood-carved jewel box opens to a photographic plate and light beamer. Slit in the crystal around the edge is a verse chosen from the rhombic torah.

Perfect

The Templar phylactery is a togglable artifact that can summon a legendary Wraith-Knight Templar of the Binary Honorum. It is made of 4 bits: two randomly decided by game creation between <A>, <B>, <C>, and <D> bits, and <46> bits. phylactery squires use these to fight for them as they hide away from danger.

Wraith Knight

Main article: Wraith-Knight Templar

The summoned Wraith-Knight will be holographic, meaning that they are able to pass through walls and will be invulnerable to all conventional damage. Their melee weapon will also be modded to be psionic.[1] The only way to destroy the Wraith-Knight (aside from exploits) is to kill the phylactery squire holding the Templar phylactery. If the player character activated it, it must be shut off. They cannot be beguiled or proselytized.[2]

The summoned Knight will not be considered a follower of the summoner. This means that they will only strike at what has negative reputation with the Putus Templar Faction, including the player. If the player character is friendly with the Putus Templar, they will likewise not attack creatures hostile to the player character unless the player character is damaged first. Furthermore, this means the player will not get experience points for anything they kill. Relevant factions the Knight will attack on sight include Beasts, Mechanimists, Glow-Wights, the Children of Mamon, and the Girsh.

Notes

This section is opinion-based. Your mileage may vary.
  • A Wraith-Knight can be struck (but not killed) by attacks that ignore phase, such as a decarbonizer beam. Any limbs, weapons, or armor dropped by the Knight remain real even when the phylactery is turned off, but the Wraith-Knight will get new ones when summoned again. This means that, provided you have a way to bypass phase and a way to sever limbs, a Templar phylactery can be used to obtain an unlimited supply of such items by repeatedly summoning and dismembering the Knight.
