woodsprog

A body time-fit to living in the smalls of spiral roots is kept warm by a layer of symbiotic moss-fur. Bright eyes scan the forest points and then soften toward the stars.

Perfect

A woodsprog is a human of a diminutive race inhabiting the jungles of Qud. This specific creature has a neutral starting reputation with the player, unlike members of the Naphtaali tribe. If a woodsprog's hitpoints fall below 90% of their maximum, they will begin to actively flee from combat.[1]

While many of the villagers of Kyakukya are woodsprogs, a woodsprog is not inherently a villager of Kyakukya.[2] The worshippers of Oboroqoru, Ape God living in Kyakukya carry plump mushrooms, but a woodsprog of any faction likely also has one or more plump mushrooms.

Dialogue

[ Woodsprog ]

A-ye?

Tallfolk.

You wandering? Be nimble.

Branches part for you.

Be nimble, broadfinger.

Need aught?

Hm hm hm.

Oeh?

Trees shield you.

Sower's eye pass over you.

Forage fruitfully.

Danger, a-ye?

1) Live and drink. [End]

Trivia

  • The description and dialogue of woodsprogs allude to the hypothesis that the hunter-gatherer peoples of the Congo Basin developed their short stature as an adaptation for travelling through dense foliage.[citation needed]
  • The symbiotic moss-fur that woodsprogs are described as having exists only as flavor text. They lack the Thick Fur mutation, have no more elemental resistance than other humans, and are not affected by defoliant.
