quartziferous mirrors are a creature, roughly analogous to giant beetle nests or giant centipede nests, which regularly spawns mirror bugs.

Despite their association with both mirrors and quartz, quartziferous mirrors do not themselves reflect damage, unlike mirror bugs and quartz baboons. However, they do refract light-based projectiles.

The corpse of a quartziferous mirror, a shattered mirror, can be harvested into mirror shards, which can then be eaten for a damage reflection effect or preserved into mirror dust and cooked with for powerful damage reflection-based cooking effects.
