Stained by (liquid name).
Stained by liquid is an effect that can be applied to objects or inorganic creatures.[1]
It is generally applied under the same circumstances as the liquid covered effect, except that the stained by liquid effect has a much smaller chance of occurring. This chance is dependent on the physical properties of the liquid in question, including the liquid's fluidity and staining factor.[1] This effect can be applied when walking through or otherwise coming into contact with liquids. If a creature is walking through liquids, their equipped items also have a chance to be affected.
The exact name and description of this effect varies depending on the type of liquid that the object or creature is covered in. For example, a player who has walked through pools of 
brown sludge might end up with the following variant of stained by liquid:
Stained by brown sludge.
The player can remove this effect from themselves and all of their equipment by cleaning themselves with 
water. To do this, interact with a filled 
waterskin or other source of water and choose the clean all your items [1 dram] option.
