Spores dance in eddies across kaleidoscopic fungal bonnets. Rivers of primordial soup, cast in the light of lava, gurgle a quickening melody.
The Rainbow Wood is an irregular-shaped area of world map terrain within the central jungles of Qud. It is unique in that attempting to navigate it on the world map will cause the player character to immediately become lost, even if transitioning from a zone within the Wood to the overworld.
The Wood contains a dense population fungi and weeps, similar to a fungal biome, along with rivers of 
primordial soup. The soup, though inert on its own, will spawn large numbers of 
soupy sludges on contact with any other liquid.
Boundaries
The tiles which compose the Rainbow Wood can be difficult to distinguish from the surrounding Jungle, but the area always has the same shape. The shortest path to the center of the Wood is to enter either directly from the north or directly from the south.
