Ah! The great Mechanimist temple of glass, the sacred offering Well, and history in stone relief. Peopled by the Argent Fathers, in statue and light sculpture. And circled by the grand bazaar. I hear there are more people there than numbers in the void, and their chatter makes a sound wholly raw and new to the world.

Will you go there, and take my bauble? Will you offer it at the Well, where I cannot?

O Glorious Shekhinah! is an optional quest that is always available in the player's starting village. You can receive it by talking to the Mechanimist convert in the village. They will tell you about the Six Day Stilt as well as the Mechanimist cathedral there, as well as ask you to make a pilgrimage where you will cast their bauble into the sacred well in the cathedral. If you accept, they will give you their bauble, which is generally some kind of common trinket.

Tips

This section is opinion-based. Your mileage may vary.

• It is possible to complete O Glorious Shekhinah! as your first quest, and doing so will reward you a significant amount of XP at a low level. However, doing so carries some risk of getting lost on the trip there, which could be dangerous depending on what you encounter. You will also want enough water to make the trip.
• Although the Mechanimist convert asks you to cast their bauble into the well, doing so is not a requirement of the quest, and the quest is completed on arrival at the Six Day Stilt.
• If you complete O Glorious Shekhinah! and speak again to the Mechanimist convert that gave you the quest, they will acknowledge your completion of the quest with unique dialogue.
• The bauble the Mechanimist convert gives you is generally eligible as a knickknack for the quest Fetch Argyve a Knickknack.
